Boiler and chimney inspection
Lack of inspection and servicing of natural gas boilers can cause higher and more costly expenses than inspection as such. In the worst case scenario, because of incorrectly operating natural gas boiler you even can no longer live in your house. In better cases, you will be exposed to a risk of not properly functioning natural gas boiler or loss of guarantee.
It is your duty to organize a check
Each and every natural gas boiler owner is obliged to organize boiler inspection by a specialist. In case of later inspection and occurrence of damage of your assets your guarantee will no longer apply. In case of fire and damage of your assets the insurance company will be no longer obliged to indemnify. The main problem why people do not organize an inspection represents the lack of knowledge, that such inspection is compulsory or they do not know who should be contacted for such inspection.
What is the appropriate time for natural gas boiler inspection?
The correct time of inspection is after the end of the heating period or close to start of the new one. In case you would select the latter option, you will be exposed to the risk that technical workers will be very busy, price would be high and in the worst case you would be obliged to start the natural gas boiler operation without the necessary inspection. Therefore you have to plan your natural gas boiler inspection before the start of the heating period, in ideal case by the end of the summer period.
Boiler specification
Natural gas boiler
- Represents the most frequently used type of boiler, there are many brands, as for instance Viesmann, Buderus, Vaillant, Junkers and others.
- Firing coal, wood, pellets
- Represents relatively expensive heating, not frequently used.
And what about your chimney?
Chimneys represent an integral part of boilers. The same rule is valid for chimneys that inspection must be provided once a year in order to discharge smoothly flue gas. We recommend you to combine the chimney inspection with the inspection of the fireplace chimney.
